Internationally acclaimed Artist Bradley Michael Boyer of Bucks County Pennsylvania is creating America's most spectacular paintings of woodland interiors en plein air!
Bradley Michael Boyer studied art at the world renowned Academie Julian Paris, France, learning what he most desired to be, a great artist! Fascinated with the theories of the Impressionists Boyer was determined to capture light with his signature brush strokes. Today, he is one of the Country's leading Plein Air Painter's of Impressionism, captivating the viewer with thick impasto and bold use of color!
Boyer works directly from nature, and the weather never stops him.
A favorite painting destination is located in Little Gap, Pa. near the tourist skiing destination The Blue Mountain Ski Lodge.
Sacred lands once inhabited by the Lenape Indians. A winter wonderland of Towering Hemlocks, green mountain laurels, and frosty rapids cascading over snow covered rocks. I feel honored and privilaged to be the first to record the history of these sacred lands of the Lenape Indians on canvas, because no one is doing it!
To navigate to this woodland interior there is one alternative, with 75lbs of equiptment and a 48" x 60" canvas in tow, hiking in deep snow and freezing temperatures. As did his predecessor Edward Redfield whom he has studied and fondly admires.
To stay warm from the frigid temperatures he must build a fire to stay warm, for risk of hypothermia. Before painting he reaches for the thermos bottle filled with hot coffee and proceeds pouring a cup. After drinking the warm coffee which is more than welcome on a cold winter day he recites this quote before beginning "Traditional Baby." and "thanks God" for a beautiful day. Then he mixes lots of linseed oil with the paints so that they do not freeze. And begins Painting in the Impressionist manner of forceful and rapid brushstrokes. And will not leave before completing an award winning winter landscape measuring 48" x 60" from Dawn until Dusk!
These award winning historical paintings are Boyer’s most outstanding contribution to American Art!
There is an active demand for his paintings, not only by Art Institutions but also by individual art collectors.
Boyer's solo exhibitions sold out with great enthusiasm and success.
Including exhibitions with New Hope School Masters, Edward Redfield, Daniel Garber, Fern Coppedge, Rae Sloan Bredin, George Sotter, Kenneth Nunamaker, and Walter Baum.
