Bradley Boyer is a French-American painter who got his start at the Académie Julian in Paris, following in the footsteps of legendary Impressionists like Childe Hassam, Joseph Sharp, John Singer Sargent, and Edward Redfield.
His award-winning landscapes are held in collections all over the world and are known for capturing the spirit of America, from hidden woodland streams once home to the Lenape people to the beauty of our historic architecture.
Bradley uses a wet-on-wet technique with bold, fast brushstrokes that bring a real glow to his large-scale paintings. Because he's such an avid outdoorsman, he loves the challenge of heading into the wild to finish massive 48x60-inch canvases in just one 12-hour sitting.
Renowned for winter Boyer braves 25-degree weather—hiking through deep snow with 100 pounds of gear on a sled and building fires in the wild for warmth—to finish massive 48x60-inch canvases in a single outdoors session. Echoing the physical plein air traditions of Edward Redfield.
He is one of few artists in the nation capable of executing large-scale works all at once in extreme conditions across the rugged wild of both coasts.
At the end of the day, his work is more than just a painting—it's a living record of America's history and natural beauty through every season.
His dedication has earned him a Pennsylvania Impressionism Award, a Paris Gold Medal, two Martha Stewart Fine Art nominations, and an Arts for the Parks honor. Published in Antiques and the Arts Weekly for notable auction prices, Boyer has cultivated a dedicated collector base that values his paintings for their deep historical significance

Colonial History: "The Walking Purchase" Keeping History Alive Through Art
Bradley Boyer isn't just a painter; he's a storyteller for the American landscape. For over 30 years, he's been documenting the hidden woodland streams of Eastern Pennsylvania—land that was once home to the Lenape people. Through powerful works like Hokendaqua in Autumn, which marks the start of the historic "Walking Purchase," He's all about keeping the spirit of the land alive through stewardship and conservation, and making sure the story of the Lenape stays connected to the present day.
